Abigail McBride is a classic Cape School colorist using academic drawing techniques. Her work is a poetic coordination of light effects and design. While free of overt narrative, her work is a contemporary interpretation of genre painting. She is chronicling the landscape, people and objects in her sphere. McBride is one of the founders of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association and Paint Annapolis Event. Her work is exhibited in galleries and museums, and collected internationally.
