A native of Pennsylvania, Lou Messa studied art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He moved over thirty years ago to Madison County, Virginia, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Much of his work reflects the beautiful countryside of Madison and surrounding areas.
